Mackes joins from Avantus Federal (formerly E3 Federal Solutions). His most recent role there was chief delivery officer.

Mackes has over 25 years’ experience executing and authorizing delivery services and solutions to federal clients. He’s successfully led and grown business in small and large companies.

Mackes sits on the board of the Homeland Defense Business Council and served on the Washington Homeland Security Roundtable Steering Committee. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Old Dominion University.

Jefferson CEO Elected to Professional Services Council Board of Directors

The Professional Services Council (PSC) Executive Committee elected Jefferson Consulting Group Chief Executive Officer Janet Clement to the PSC Board of Directors during a quarterly meeting yesterday.

“I’m pleased to work with PSC President and CEO David Berteau and the rest of the Board of Directors to lead the association on issues that matter to companies like Jefferson,” said Clement. “I look forward to working with the many companies at PSC to help find solutions to the challenges our government clients face today and into the future.”

The PSC Board of Directors consists of 80 executives from member companies who have shown leadership in the industry and a commitment to PSC’s goals for building a fair and competitive federal contracting marketplace. They are elected by their peers and reflect the breadth and diversity of PSC member companies. As members of the PSC Board, these directors will help PSC continue to be the premier association for federal government contractors.

The Board is responsible for policy oversight and for setting the direction of the association, which is in its 49th year as the voice of the government technology and professional services industry.

Jefferson Consulting Group Announces Janet H. Clement as Chief Executive Officer

Jefferson Consulting Group, an award-winning woman owned small business, is pleased to announce that Janet H. Clement will succeed Julia T. Susman as Chief Executive Officer. Julie will retire on June 1st following the sale of her company.

Janet’s government service started as a contracting officer for the Air Force; she was most recently the COO of GKG. She has worked with Defense, Homeland, and Civilian Agencies, providing mission and mission support solutions, including Shared Services, Human Capital, Program Management, Category Management, Change and Organization Management, Strategy, Software Development, and IT infrastructure. Before joining industry, Ms. Clement led Agency Strategic Planning, Human Capital Planning, and Organization Development at the U.S. Mint.

During Ms. Susman’s 32-year tenure, Jefferson expanded to include two successful companies: Jefferson Solutions, which provides acquisition, human capital, and program management services to the federal government, and Jefferson Business Consulting, which advises commercial clients on how to identify, create, win, sustain, and grow Federal contracts.

Janet earned her Master of Science in Organization Development and her Bachelor of Science in Production and Operations Management with a minor is Social Psychology.
